Here you'll find links that i feel are useful:

Game Development Links:

1.) GameDev.net - An excellent source for articles and information. They Also have a large, highly frequented forum userbase.
2.)Beautiful Yet Friendly- Written by Guillaume Provost, hosted by Adam Bromell. This is a very interesting article that goes in depth on basic optimizations and the thought process when designing and modeling a level. It goes into the technical side of things to truly give you an understanding on what is going on in the background.
3.)Poop In My Mouth's Tutorials - By Ben Mathis. Probably the only professional i know who has such a scary website name, but don't be afraid, i swear there is nothing terrible beyond that link. He has a ton of excellent tutorials, short and long, that cover both the modeling, and the texturing processes.

Miscellaneous:

1.)Wikipedia- I'm sure i don't have to explain what wikipedia is, but if so, it is a large collection of user editable information. They have about every topic you can imagine. Heck, even information on game development.
2.)Perimeter Institute, aka PI - has some excellent public lectures on theoretical physics. While they of course can not go into too much detail, the lectures do provide an excellent introduction to many ideas, which you can later research yourself more indepthly.
3.)MIT Open Courseware (OCW)- is an initiative taken by MIT as a way of publically providing free education to those who seek it out. Here you'll actually be able to educate yourself in various high level academics. Some, but not all, even provide in class recordings of the lectures. Well worth a look.
If you're looking for primarily video content then visit this direct link to that section of MIT OCW.
